Quan Yin in a Lotus Figurine, Tagua Fruit (AKA Palm Fruitivory)
This amazing 2-part figurine depicts Quan Yin (AKA Kwanyin, Goddess of Mercy & Compassion) seated in a Lotus Flower, It is is made of Tagua Fruit (AKA PalmIvory). This material (AKA PalmIvory) is sourced from the tagua palm tree, which produces a nut containing white fluids, similar to a coconut. Once the fruit ripens, the white material hardens and looks like elephant tusk material. PalmIvory has relaxing effects, a principle that has been conceded down through the millennium. It is a smooth “stone” with a structure that feels enjoyable in the hands. By simply rubbing such carvings between your forefinger and thumb, you can sense the soothing effect within your body.
